MT1586(e) test set

Characteristics

The MT1586(e) is a comprehensive instrument used for making analog measurement on a network in the range of 200Hz to 1500KHz, which includes a Wideband Transmission Test Set, Digital Multimeter, Selective Level Meter, DTMF Decoder and Telephone Handset - all in an easy-to-use instrument at a price you can afford. The MT 1586(e) conforms to North American IEEE743-1995 and ITU-T O. series.

The MT1586(e) is designed for today's field test requirements and for pre-qualifying xDSL lines, testing 2 and 4 wire circuit integrity, installation and commissioning of POTS, Pair-gain, DDS, ISDN, HDSL, G.lite and ADSL circuits.

  • Background Noise measurements with C-Message (Psophometric), D, E, F and G Filters
  • Selective Level/Crosstalk measurements
  • RS232-C serial interface for Printer and fully Remote Control
  • Power Influence (Harmonic frequencies of power)
  • Wideband Impulse Noise measurements
  • Impedance/Return Loss measurements
  • Intelligent Battery Charging Control
  • Metallic-Access Analysis Tests:
    Loop Capacitance and Resistance
    Longitudinal Balance
    Foreign Voltage

  Longitudinal Balance Bridge (Optional)

The LBA 10 is useful in determining potential severity of data traffic by conducting a longitudinal
balance measurement reflects better balance of the cable pair tested.
